Invisalign® for Adults

As the latest innovation in orthodontics, Invisalign® uses clear aligners to straighten teeth. It can be a great solution for those looking for a virtually invisible way to improve their smiles. From simple to complex, Invisalign® can fix nearly all common teeth-straightening and bite issues, without interrupting your busy schedule. The Tooth Company is one of the most experienced clinics for Invisalign® in Auckland.

Invisalign® aligners fit perfectly in the mouth and are barely noticeable, making adult orthodontics much more acceptable.

What are the benefits?

In addition to moving the teeth, the aligners can also be removed for brushing and mealtime, making it very convenient for patients. As people’s schedules get busier, Invisalign® makes treatment faster, more predictable and hygienic.

We also offer Dental Monitoring so the treatment can be continued remotely, reducing the need to take time off from work.

How long does Invisalign® treatment take?

For patients with simpler cases, Invisalign® aligners can produce results in as little as six months. Most adults complete Invisalign® treatment within 12 to 18 months as a general rule.

What is the treatment process?

The first step – everything starts with a new patient examination with our specialist orthodontist. During the consultation, your teeth, jaw, mouth, and orthodontic and dental needs will be assessed and your intended outcome will be discussed with you. For the development of a customized treatment plan, you may elect to have records taken following your initial consultation.

The plan – We use a 3d scanner rather than molds to have a copy your teeth at the start of treatment. After taking your records (photos, x rays and 3d scan), we will determine what can be done for your teeth with Invisalign®. As part of your treatment plan, you will receive the cost, the treatment timeline and instructions on how the treatment works.

The aligners – Using the advanced Invisalign® technology, each aligner is customized to move your teeth just the way they need to be. Each time you visit, you will receive multiple aligners to last you until your next visit. Typically, each aligner must be worn for two weeks before being discarded and replaced with the next.

The attachments – To help your aligner move your teeth as needed, tooth-colored attachments need to be glued onto some of your teeth. These are very discreet, barely noticeable, and polished off at the end of the treatment

Appointments – You’ll come in for an appointment every six to ten weeks to have your teeth and mouth assessed and to get your next set of aligners. For those who prefer to do their treatment remotely or with fewer visits, we also offer the Dental Monitoring app.

How much does does Invisalign® for adults cost?

Basically, it depends on how much you want your teeth moved and how many aligners are needed to achieve the desired outcome.
